The "Fast & Furious" cast came together to mark a significant milestone for the family-centric street racing movie series.

At the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday night, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez stepped out for a special midnight screening of "The Fast and the Furious" for the film's 25th anniversary.

Joining them was Meadow Walker, the daughter of the late Paul Walker, who starred in the first "Fast & Furious" films.

Paul Walker was 40 years old when he died in a car crash in 2013. Meadow, his only child, was just 15 at the time.

Inside the Cannes theater on Wednesday, Diesel, wearing a black coat with a bedazzled car and the words "Fast Forever" on the back, turned to Meadow Walker and shared an emotional tribute to her dad.

"I pray that in your life you have a brother like Paul," Diesel said, according to a video shared by Variety on social media. "It wasn't on the script at first that this blonde-haired, blue-eyed guy would be a brother to me."

He ended his speech by giving Meadow Walker a long embrace.

Also in his speech, Diesel credited fans with being the reason they're working on a new "Fast & Furious" film -- the 11th in the series -- according to footage shared on YouTube.

"I just want you all to know the only reason why we're making the finale of 'Fast' for 2028 is because each and every one of you has given us your hearts and your loyalty -- each and every one of you that has felt like you were a part of our family."

He added, "You make us have to continue. You make us want to make you all proud. This movie, what you're going to watch tonight, is the beginning of one word, and that word is love. I love you all."

Universal Pictures announced in January that the next "Fast & Furious" film, "Fast Forever," is slated for March 17, 2028.
