More than half of Americans oppose Trump ordering strikes on Iran: Polls
A CNN poll conducted after the U.S. and Israel launched strikes on Iran on Saturday and Sunday found that 56% of Americans feel a “long-term military conflict between the U.S. and Iran” is very or somewhat likely. The poll found that 59% of Americans disapproved of the U.S. decision to take military action in Iran.
A poll conducted by the Washington Post Sunday found that 52% of Americans opposed President Donald Trump ordering airstrikes on Iran, while 39% of Americans supported it and 9% were unsure.

Among Republicans, 81% supported Trump ordering strikes while 12% opposed them, according to the Washington Post poll. Among Democrats, 9% supported strikes while 87% opposed them. A 59% majority of independents opposed the strikes while 28% supported them.
