US Embassy in Jerusalem resumes operations amid ceasefire
The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem resumed operations on Wednesday and lifted a shelter in place order for employees and their families, as the ceasefire between Israel and Iran appeared to hold.

The embassy urged continued caution and "increased personal security awareness -- including knowing the location of the nearest shelter in the event of a red alert as security incidents, such as mortar, rocket and missile fire and unmanned aircraft system intrusions, often take place without any warning."
Government employees and their families are still restricted from travel outside of the greater Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Be'er Sheva areas, Wednesday's security notice said.
The embassy's previous security update on June 23 instructed all employees and their families to shelter in place "until further notice" due to the ongoing conflict with Iran.
