The United States struck three nuclear sites in Iran on Saturday, President Donald Trump announced.
B-2 bombers dropped a number of Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs -- known as "bunker busters" -- during the U.S. mission over Iran, a U.S. official confirmed.
A number of Tomahawk cruise missiles were also fired at targets inside Iran from a U.S. Navy submarine, the official confirmed.
Following the strikes, Trump addressed the nation, calling it a "spectacular military success."

Trump thanks Netanyahu, military
Trump particularly thanked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his remarks.
"We worked as a team like perhaps no team has ever worked before, and we have gone a long way to erasing this horrible threat to Israel," Trump said.
The president additionally thanked the Israeli military, Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine and the "great American patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight."

Trump warns of future attacks if Iran does not make peace
Trump repeatedly warned that Iran must make peace or face "far greater" attacks.
"Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier," he said.
Trump went on to say that if there is not peace there "will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days."

Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities 'completely and totally obliterated': Trump
Trump said the objective of the "massive precision strikes" on the Iranian nuclear sites was to destroy Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity.
"Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated," he said.
