President Donald Trump's second administration continued its swift recasting of the federal government, prompting pushback from Democrats and legal challenges.

The president said Sunday that he will announce tariffs on all imported steel and aluminum on Monday but didn't say when they'll take effect.

Trump, meanwhile, is at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday night to take in the Super Bowl. Trump picked the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in an interview aired before the game on Fox.

DOGE posts before and after look at USAID

The Department of Government Efficiency posted photographs of the exterior of the United States Agency for International Development before and after the removal of signage from the agency's Pennsylvania Avenue office .

"Unburdened by what has been," the DOGE account wrote on X -- a jab at the phrase frequently used by former Vice President Kamala Harris.

The post comes as Elon Musk's DOGE dismantles USAID, including trying to cut its workforce from 14,000 people to just 300 employees.

Trump claims Social Security won't be touched

The president was asked about possible cuts to Social Security as Musk and DOGE continue to make cuts to government services.

Japan PM dodges question about tariffs

Ishiba was asked about Japan's response if the president issued a tariff on its exports.

Ishiba declined to answer calling the question "hypothetical," which got laughs from the president.

Trump said he's instructed Musk to review Pentagon spending

Trump was asked again about Musk's access to government data and said he has instructed the billionaire to take a look at the budgets of a number of agencies including the Pentagon.

Trump claimed that there there was going to find some things "are going to be bad," without giving details.
