Actor and comedian Faizon Love was arrested in Florida this week on contempt-of-court charges tied to a child support case, according to jail records and his attorney.
Online records from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office show Love, 58, was booked into a Hillsborough County jail on June 16 on two counts of contempt of court.
The arrest record references case number 19-DR-017453, a Hillsborough County family court case involving Love.
Love's attorney, Glen R. Lansky of Lansky Law Group, confirmed to ABC News on Thursday that Love was arrested in Riverside County, California, and later transported to Hillsborough County, Florida.
"To my knowledge, he was picked up in Riverside County, California and transported some days later to Hillsborough County on orders of contempt from the Honorable Judge Mark Kiser," Lansky said in a statement to ABC News on Thursday.
He added that "the underlying case involves a motion for contempt for failure to pay child support."
A hearing is scheduled for Friday to address the contempt motions through a motion for rehearing, according to Lansky.
Additional details about the allegations were not immediately available.
