Iran live updates: US and Iran agree to stop strikes, US official says
Kuwait and Bahrain claimed Iran attacked with missiles and drones on Sunday.
President Donald Trump announced "major combat operations" against Iran on Feb. 28, with massive joint U.S.-Israeli strikes targeting military, government and infrastructure sites.
Delegations from the United States and Iran meet last weekend at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland, where they entered negotiations aimed at a war-ending deal based on a memorandum of understanding signed last week by both countries.

Trump maintains Strait of Hormuz is open after Iranian drone strike
After an Iranian drone struck a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz earlier Thursday, President Donald Trump is continuing to insist that the critical waterway is open.
"They want to make a deal with us very badly, and we probably will," Trump said, referring to Iran during remarks in the Rose Garden on Thursday evening. "I think we will, but the strait is open."
"We knocked the hell out of them, and now we're negotiating from a position of pure strength, pure strength. They know that, and the strait's already open, and we're setting records," Trump said.
"Yesterday, they took out 19 million barrels of oil. That's the most in the history of the strait, and the oil prices are dropping like a rock," he claimed.
Earlier, ABC News had reached out to the White House for comment on the Iran strike and for clarification on whether the strait remains open in light of such an attack.
"We are aware of these reports and looking into them. President Trump has been clear that Iran cannot subvert the free flow of traffic in the Strait," a U.S. official said.

Iranian-run Persian Gulf Strait Authority warns against unauthorized passage through strait
The Iranian-run Persian Gulf Strait Authority warned against any vessel passing through routes outside its framework after reports of an Iranian drone striking a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
"Any passage through routes outside the framework designated by PGSA will not be covered by safe passage guarantees and will not be entitled to insurance coverage or related liabilities," PGSA said in a statement Thursday.
"The consequences arising from passage through unauthorized routes shall be the responsibility of the owner, operator, and vessel commander," PGSA said.

IMO pauses evacuation in Strait of Hormuz following attack
The International Maritime Organization announced it temporarily suspended the evacuation of vessels from the Strait of Hormuz after reports of an attack on a vessel in the Gulf of Oman.
"This vessel did not transit under IMO’s evacuation framework. I have always reiterated that the safety of the seafarers remains paramount. Therefore, to ensure a coordinated approach and navigational safety, the evacuation plan will be paused until further clarity is obtained," IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez said in a statement Thursday.
