Emmys 2026: Live updates, winners, best moments

Taylor Swift managed to do the impossible, appear on the Emmys telecast and Monday Night Football at the same time.

Swift made a cameo in a pre-taped skit with Emmys host Mariska Hargitay, who was in character as Capt. Olivia Benson, her character on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," trying to map out the clues as to whether Swift would attend the awards show.

At the same time the skit aired, Swift was at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, watching her husband Travis Kelce play in the Kansas City Chiefs home opener.

Swift was seen sitting at the game with Tom Cruise, who was one of the couple’s reported 1,000 guests at their July 3 wedding.

Tom Pelphrey won the Emmy for supporting actor in a drama series for his role in the intense HBO hit show “Task.”

Other nominees in this category were Patrick Ball for “The Pitt,” Billy Crudup for “The Morning Show,” Shawn Hatosy for “The Pitt,” Gerran Howell for “The Pitt,” Jack Lowden for “Slow Horses,” and Carlos-Manuel Vesga for “Pluribus.”

In his acceptance speech, Pelphrey gave a heartwarming shoutout to his "favorite actor in this room," his partner, "the very pregnant Kaley Cuoco."

“Our family is the crown jewel of my life!” he said.

Pelphrey and Cuoco welcomed their first child, daughter Matilda, in 2023, and are expecting their second.

"The Pitt" actor Noah Wyle won the Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a drama series.

Wyle thanked his fellow nominees, including "Slow Horses" star Gary Oldman, in his acceptance speech.

"I grew up in LA. I'm a Hollywood kid. I was raised on a television, and movie theaters were my place of worship. This is all I've ever wanted to do, and this is the only club I've ever wanted to join," Wyle said. "Thank you for accepting me."

Nominees included Sterling K. Brown for "Paradise," Oldman for "Slow Horses," Mark Ruffalo for "Task" and Rufus Sewell for "The Diplomat.”

The Emmy for outstanding reality competition program went to “The Traitors.”

Also nominated were "Dancing with the Stars," "RuPaul's Drag Race," "Survivor” and "Top Chef.”

Host Alan Cumming called it "so beautiful that a show about treachery and betrayal brings people together!"
